DuluCon 2021

Deep breath in…

Somehow 2019 went from me committing to writing a blog a day for a year, to a train wreck that left this blog in the smoldering remains of crushed dreams (a/k/a the year 2020). Maybe that’s a little too dramatic, but if there’s one thing I can get behind, it’s being *wildly* horrified by 2020.

I can’t say that all cylinders are firing now, either, but if my creativity has not recovered to the charging mustang convertible of my dreams, at least I’m limping forward with a good horse and cart. Far from bomb-proof, but equally far from the devastated turtle that I was last year. I digress.

With the tentative snuffling of a chipmunk emerging from hibernation, I am getting back on the writing horse (the very same who is pulling my creative cart, bless her). Book Three of the Firebird Chronicles is emerging, and I am proud to share my release date: November 11th, 2022. This is going to be a big one, folks. The cover design already has me drooling, there will be a gorgeous world map, and the story has me tearing up even as I type. Tears of joy, right?

Right.

I’m also excited to announce that I will be attending DuluCon again this year as a vendor and a speaker, so if you are in Duluth October 22nd-24th, please swing by the Miller Hill Mall for a book and a chat! It looks like the schedule has changed slightly, but at the moment, I am scheduled for a reading/panel at 6:00pm on Friday the 22nd. And this will be a fun one! I’ve got a nifty handout for the attendees (a surprise!) and will be reading an EXCLUSIVE excerpt from Book Three. Additionally, I can’t decide between cosplaying as a Star Fleet Officer, a Jedi Warrior, or a steampunk vampire huntress—so bets are out on who will be giving this reading.

I hope to see you all there!

...deep breath out.
