Something Lovely

You know how your soul sometimes feels lighter than others? Like, you wake up, and the world is brighter, the leaves are shining, and you are simply and beautifully happy?

That's what I've been feeling today. And while some of it is just the simple satisfaction of being in a beautiful cabin while the leaves turn to molten gold around me, a big part is that I've finished my cover design for Dust. And it is...

...let me just say, I pictured the three covers together back when I only had an idea of the shape of the story I would tell. And this is the one that I kept going back to, kept itching to draw, to format and hold in my hands. When I tell you that I cannot wait to touch this book, I'm telling you I CANNOT WAIT. I am in the middle stages of editing/rewriting, but having something I can see, something beautiful I can feel and hold and look at while I work...there's a finish line in sight, and I'm overjoyed to share it with you all.

So, without further ado, may I present my beautiful book cover:

I just can't quit staring at it.

Anyway, Dust will be available for pre-order during DuluCon. And while I don't think I can make the 11.11.22 pub date that I set last year, that's ok. Because if I've learned one thing, it's that beautiful books take time.

Cheers,
